Fermented half in stainless steel to retain fruity freshness and varietal character, and half in new French oak to enhance complexity, mouthfeel, and finish. Bâtonnage was practiced in barrel post-fermentation to enhance sur lie aging on the lees (six months).
Aromas of ripe Bartlett pear, pineapple, and golden apples are prominent, followed by subtle vanilla on the palate, and hints of brioche and peanut brittle on the finish.
